Meet n. Gail Seemann, lpc
Neurodivergent Affirming Therapist
You’re already stronger than you think you are.
How it’s been isn’t how it has to be.
Let’s find your path to peace, connection and joy
You’re feeling overwhelmed, confused, stuck.
You’ve been suffering for a while, and nothing you’ve tried has helped. Maybe you are out of ideas, or energy, or both.
I work with clients who are looking for peace and connection. Clients that have been carrying their pain with strength, and perseverance, but who long to…
overcome anxiety's grip,
mend strained relationships,
navigate past traumas,
and find strategies to thrive in a world…not always attuned to their neurodivergent experiences.
Regardless of what brings you here, this is a judgment-free space where you can express your authentic self, share without reservation, and feel truly acknowledged and validated.
Whether you've been to therapy before or are taking your first step, I'm here with support, encouragement, and expertise to guide you on your journey towards your best self and the life you yearn to live.
Maybe you have been searching the internet, trying to figure out ways to deal with your particular burdens - but it just hasn’t seemed to be enough. Maybe you’ve been to therapy before, and while it helped, you want to go deeper. Or you are wondering if a neurodivergent-aware therapist might be able to give you more clarity or specific skills to work on.
I believe everyone has the right to a judgment free zone, and the freedom to be exactly where they are on their Life’s Journey. That means when you walk into my office (or my online clinic) you will be greeted with warmth and openness. I work with a variety of methods (CBT, ACT, Family Systems, interpersonal), tailoring my approach to your needs.
Our first conversation will include some typing on my part, as I listen and ask questions about your story, and what has led you to be sitting in my office.
The discussion is always driven by your needs and wants - so we focus where you want us to.
And if you don’t know what you want - you’re confused - but know you want something different, then we just explore figuring out what you need and want together.
We talk about where you are, and what about it makes it not what you need and want.
In future sessions we’ll explore what might help you take steps in the direction you want to go, even if that’s just figuring out where that might be. We explore things that might be in your way, and how to find your way around, over, under or through those obstacles. This can range from the beliefs you have about yourself, others, or the world, to traumas from your past, to actual roadblocks you are encountering in your relationships, your school or work, or the world around you.
Regardless, you are in the driver’s seat. If something isn’t working about the approach I guide us to, tell me. If the conversation is moving too fast or slow, if you don’t know what’s off, but you just know something is - we stop, take stock, perhaps just sit together quietly for a moment, until we find a better approach. Sometimes the quiet is exactly what you need. We are partners on this journey.
What it’s like to work with me…
My guiding principles
Inclusive
ALL are welcome in my office and in my world. Any gender, any race, any sexual orientation, any identity.
Safe
This is a safe place, where you can trust that you will be treated with respect, dignity, and caring. I believe that together we can create a space where you feel you can heal.
Whole
Differences are just that - differences. We are not broken. We may be wounded from our life experience - but that is not the same as broken.
Healing is ALWAYS Possible
Traumas deeply affect us. They do not define us. Our responses to them do.

Coaching and counseling have some similarities, and sorting out which is the best fit for you might be confusing. When you schedule a free consultation with me we can discuss this in more depth, but here are some clarifying facts:
Differences in Focus:
Coaching is future-oriented and action-based. Coaches help you set goals, overcome obstacles, and reach their full potential. They focus on building strengths and developing strategies for success.
Counseling is past and present-oriented. Counselors help you understand and address challenges that might be rooted in past experiences or emotional issues. They provide support and guidance for healing and personal growth.
Your Needs:
Coaching is ideal for people who are generally functioning well but want to improve specific areas of their life, like career, relationships, or personal productivity. They might be looking to develop new skills, boost confidence, or overcome roadblocks to achieving their goals.
Counseling is a good fit for people struggling with emotional difficulties, past trauma, significant relationship problems, or mental health concerns. They might need help managing stress, anxiety, depression, or other conditions.
Here's an analogy:
Think of coaching as a personal trainer for your life. They'll push you to achieve your goals and develop the skills you need to succeed.
Counseling is tied to a medical need for therapy. It focuses on helping you understand and overcome challenges that might be holding you back.
If you are interested in considering coaching as an option, and you would like to work with me I have a coaching business as well: SparkandSageCoaching.Com
